MLS rules and regulations require the listing agent's office name appear on any lawn sign and that the words "By Owner" not appear on the sign. Thus, signs purchased in retail stores that have the words "For Sale By Owner" are not allowed on properties that are listed on the MLS. Our signs are in compliance with MLS and also state "MLS Listed" so that prospective buyer agents are encouraged to show the property knowing there must be an offered commission posted on MLS.
